THE VISION: Empowering Kingdom Families and Raising Kingdom Generals

Jesus teachings and commands for the response of disciples over the law is amazing. Kingdom characters are built at the upper chambers of law and making the law to be at the lower chamber. ‘How’?

Disciples’ heritage in Christ is great and unquantifiable; the blessing of Abraham has been credited into our account automatically as a believer. One of the heritages says: whoever curses us shall be cursed and anyone who blesses us shall be blessed. This is a grace beyond description, it simply means that revenge is of God and not for us, every battle of our lives is the Lord’s battle. ( 2 Chron. 20:15).

Our problems are either we don’t trust or believe that God will do it so we tend to want to revenge for our-self . Christ Kingdom’ teaching demands that we should not  usurp God’s role but attacking evil without God’s guidance. Christian response to evil act against us must be above legalism (law). There is eternal victory when we allow God to fight the battle.

LOVE FOR ENEMIES.

A son is marked by obeying his father and by following in his father’s step.  Christian son-ship means loving our enemies and praying for those who persecute us. Contrary to what the law teaches, Kingdom teaching by our Lord Jesus on the Mount says: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you (Mt. 5:44). This Kingdom character will cleanse our hearts, flush out every death rats and cockroaches to make our heart pure enough to become sons of our Father in Heaven (v45). It guarantee our enduring victory physically and spiritually.

Jesus demonstrated this on the Cross when he prayed for those who persecuted and crucified Him. Intercession for enemies are important prayers, we are simply saying here that ‘God’,  vengeance belong to you alone.

HE WHO CREATED HEAVEN AND EARTH, THE ALPHA AND THE OMEGA HAVE SPOKEN, WHO CAN UNDERSTAND HIS ERRORS?

Jesus refers to what the law says on this subject and the warning against the breaking ot oaths but Jesus warned that we must not swear to any oath at all, ‘why’? because every oath consciously or unconsciously entered into eventually put one in bondage.

Again, oath making could run contrary to the will of God for your life and stagnate your life because every unfulfilling oath put your integrity on the line and making you to risk your relationship and fellowship with God and man.

Jesus says: Simply let your ‘YES’ be Yes, and your ‘NO’ be No, anything beyond this comes from the evil one. (Matt. 5:37). Kingdom character demands that we should exhibit such integrity of character that we do not have to make any kind of oath to indicate our truthfulness but to be a person of trustworthiness.

Jesus teachings on the Mount provided the perfect summary of the law to one single command "LOVE". Jesus Himself fulfilled the law as he lived up to all that he taught and thus was the only one to fulfil and to be what the Old Testament taught and prophesised. He also demonstrated the LOVE of His Father by given His own life as a ransom to redeem humanity from eternal damnation. (SACRIFICIAL LOVE)

Jesus Christ accepted the law in the Old Testament as scriptural authoritative commands which needed to be completed through His Messianic teaching. insightfully, God inspired the scripture and gave the law to regulate some specific human character and to motivate an attitude of reverence for life and for God but Jesus summarised the law (10 commandments) into one Kingdom character call "LOVE" to which all law and prophets hangs (Matthew 22:37-39) and to build the Kingdom character in man.

Jesus warned against religions hypocrisy that anyone who breaks any of these law have broken all. He says: anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever practises and teaches these commands will be called great in the Kingdom of heaven (Matthew 5:19)

Jesus teachings on the Mount simply called people to join God's Kingdom and work toward building kingdom character "LOVE" to be like God. Just ask yourself these question: do I truly LOVE my neighbour like myself? Do I have Kingdom character in me? Whatever you ask in His name is what you’ll get. ASK JESUS TO BUILD THIS UNIQUE KINGDOM CHARACTER IN YOU NOW.

The 6th and 7th commandments say; thou shall not murder and thou shall not commit adultery. But sinners have escape root because the emphasis is on physical termination of lives with gun or any dangerous weapon, whilst judgement can only be meted out on anyone caught in the unholy act of infidelity. Our Lord’s teachings on the Mount uncover the root of all murder and how many have committed murder from their heart without gun and weapons.

MURDER

Christ teaching on this subject uncover how murder are being committed secretly in the heart with anger which lead to hatred, deception, bitterness and pronouncement of negative words (Matthew 5:22). Devil sows seed of anger in the heart; it grows to bear the fruit of hatred, deception, bitterness and evil words to destroy life. For this reason, the psalmist wrote: create in me a pure heart oh Lord and renew the right spirit within me (Psalm 51:10) Jesus commands: settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court (Matthew 5:25) the bible say: Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. (Eph. 4:31) Anger is a root not symptom, don’t allow it to have root in your heart, else you may commit murder.

ADULTERY

Adultery is the act of sexual immorality committed by married person outside of the marriage bond. Again, the law can only judge anyone physically caught in the act, but the Kingdom teaching on this subject on the Mount by Jesus Christ unveil the root of this unholy act from the heart. The greatest weapon often use by devil to kill and to destroy is sexual immorality, practitioners walk themselves into the burning sulphur (1 Corinth. 6:9; Gal. 5:19; Rev. 21:8) The temptation begins from seeing, then looking, then thinking, then smelling and finally tasting to establish sin of adultery. Discard it at the point of seeing before it penetrates your heart. Take a flight from this sin its deadly.

DIVORCE

Divorce is the annulment of marriage, a reversal of wedding vow and abortion of God’s will for one-flesh-union. A pertinent question needs to be answered here. Can the two who are joined together in Holy Matrimony truly divorce? ‘NO’ what has simply taken place in the lives of divorced couple was a separation of the two bodies whilst their souls and spirits remain intact and inseparable but in serious anger, hatred and bitterness against each other and mostly seeking to eliminate or subdue each other in their heart. If unchecked, this could lead to generational curses for the family because the evil that man sowed grow to bear fruits. God intends marriage commitments to be kept for life. Anything less falls short of divine purpose (Matthew 19:3-3-9) what then God has joined together, let no man put asunder. (Matt. 19:6).ou

Let your marriage become an Altar where sacrifices of Love, Truth and Forgiveness are laid daily to worship God and to provide sweet aroma to provoke God to release His covenant with you and your generation.

What does it means to be the salt and the light of this world? Salt is a sweetener and preservatory materials often use to preserve food and perishable things in history even before the invention of refrigeration. Also the light was an agent of the WORD of GOD released from the begining to subdue darkness at the inception of creation. Jesus is the WORD and the LIGHT. (John 1:1-5)

Jesus said: I am the vine, you're the branch and my Father is the Vinedresser. (John 15:1) denoting that Jesus Christ is the link that nutures and sustains life with God. To accept Him in truth and in spirit is to be kept alive and become the salt and light of the earth, but to reject Him is to reject the vital "VINE" that supplies LIFE to the body hence Jesus said: 'No branch can bear fruit by itself unless it abide in the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me (John 15:4). He says further; apart from me you can't do nothing (v5)

The abiding Spirit of God in you will quicken you to live the perfect and excellent Kingdom ethical life that transcends all unethical characters of this age. the peril for the practitioners of Kingdom ethics is that they will fight you as they did to the patriachs but most assuredly, they will not overcome you (Jeremiah 1:19)
